NOMAGREENTM Biodegradable Foam
Nomaco introduced the first biodegradable polyethylene foam called NOMAGREEN. It is made from a proprietary formulation that combines the excellent performance of standard PE foam with the added value of biodegradability once the product is discarded into microbe-rich environment, such as a landfill. NOMAGREEN also provides a more environmentally friendly option for fabricators when dealing with scrap foam that does not get recycled. With NOMAGREEN, Fabricators can now differentiate themselves when working with large OEM companies looking for suppliers whose processes and products are more environmentally responsible. Foam from this formulation can also be reused and recycled in the standard LDPE stream.
Dynamic Foam Real Recycled EVA Foam
This proprietary Post-Consumer Recycled EVA line of products can help achieve your sustainability goals while also remaining price competitive and meet performance requirements. The compression molded material is GRS Certified and available in sheet form or molded components. The recently released injection molding formulation is available in pellet form for use in existing injection molds. This material was developed for footwear but can be used in any application where traditional EVAs are used. This is the only product of it’s kind available in the market today. Price competitive, sustainability forward, elevated performance.
SprayIQ
With the help of SprayIQ™ (an innovative monitoring device created by Chem-Trend engineers) and a higher-performing release agent, companies can achieve a significant reduction in product use and scrap rate, reduced cleaning due to less mold buildup, lower VOC emissions, and an improvement in overall productivity. In the long term, companies will be able to precisely forecast product consumption for more accurate ordering. Training for the system and its data reporting is provided by Chem-Trend, which helps operators and managers better monitor throughputs for improved application consistency.

GRFT Molded HR Foam
Over the past several years, GRFT has developed its Bio-content foam, which is currently in our 3.0-pound high-resilience and 4.0-pound high-resilience molded foam systems. The Bio-content offers an improved compression-set, better “hand” or feel, as well as improved UV resistance. As the Sustainability market continues to move more mainstream, our Bio-content offers an additional marketing foundation for your products. End users can now state their foam applications are truly “Sustainable” with our Bio-content foam. GRFT’s Bio-content generally does not cost significantly more than our standard HR foam products. At times, the price can be neutral.
Water-Based and Low-VOC Mold Release Agents
Hightower Products offers a range of water-based and low-VOC mold release agents for polyurethane molders. Customizable to the needs of each plant, these products enable a significant reduction in emissions when used as an alternative to traditional solvent-based mold release agents.
