Novagard is adding a UL 94 V-0 rated Alkoxy Silicone Paste to their electronics grade adhesives line

By shifting to chemical adhesives, design engineers are eliminating the localized stress points associated with mechanical fasteners. This change improves reliability while simultaneously lightening components and reducing overall costs.

Novagard, a woman-owned innovator and manufacturer of silicone sealants, coatings, lubricants, and foams, is introducing a UL 94 V-0 rated silicone paste adhesive that also functions like a gasket. 500-09x protects against moisture and dust, delivers a more uniform bond, and helps dampen vibrations. 

Superior bond strength

A neutral cure black paste, 500-09x is ideal for applications that require superior bond strength and flame resistance. It has a good balance of tensile strength and elongation. 500-09x cures to a tough, resilient elastomer with no unreacted components remaining after cure. This unprimed adhesive solution skins over in less than 15 minutes, and is completely cured within 7 days.  

Specifically formulated to retain its physical properties even during service in extreme environmental conditions, 500-09x is safe for electronics applications. It is ideal for applications that require superior bond strength and a UL 94 V-0 rating. It is often used as a frame and junction sealant in photovoltaic modules, sensitive electronic components, and circuit boards. 500-09x can also be used in industrial sealing and bonding applications that require a non-corrosive product.
